Gregorian Institute of Technology (GIT) is approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and affiliated to APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, Thiruvananthapuram.
GIT was established with a prime objective of providing quality technical education incorporating adequate industrial training and entrepreneurial skills. This is helpful for the students to choose their future track.
GIT offers exemplary model of technical education with dedicated faculty members. The campus is wi-fi enabled, state-of- the-art laboratories, 24x7 high speed internet facility, well-furnished class rooms, central library with huge collection of volumes, national and international journals.
The Industry Institute Partnership Cell (IIPC) of GIT plays a vital role in providing industrial exposure to the students through periodic guest lectures by experts from industries and academiciansto update them in recent developments happening in the industry. IIPC has also signed MoUs with leading Skill Training Centres, Skill Universities and leading Industries, in India and abroad, to provide hands-on industrial training, internships for the students. This makes the students to acquire the skill sets required for the industry and make them industry ready graduates.
GIT is also particular in bringing out the entrepreneurial skills of the students. Innovation and Entrepreneur Development Cell of the college is very much keen in providing ample avenues for the students to become an entrepreneur. Periodical interactions of students with leading entrepreneurs is arranged. The college has a well-established Innovation and Development Centres which offers confidence and guidance for the students to become entrepreneurs.
GIT has well established Start-up Incubation Centre which encourages and supports innovative engineering projects to bring out the creativity of the students embarking start-ups. Just like parents help a child learn how to walk, start-up incubation centre enables a start-up to nurture its idea and make it into a reality. To make it achievable and sustainable, the college has close collaboration with leading Technology Business Incubation (TBI)centres of India.
GIT believes in the holistic development of the students in all aspects. Bearing this in mind, GIT offers training in communication and soft skills for first and second year students to build their confidence in facing interviews. From third year onwards, students are exposed to various industrial oriented training programmes in their discipline of study.
