Training & Placement (TAP)

Training & Placement (TAP) Cell at GIT was established with the aim of guiding and helping the students to achieve placement in reputed firms based on their aspirations and abilities. Efficient team of professionals and softs skills trainers, impart comprehensive training modules right from the induction of the students, and groom them to face the interviews. The Placement Cell is headed by a Training & Placement officer with a dedicated team, propelled to achieve success for the students and bring laurels to the institution.

The students are willing to relocate anywhere within the country or overseas and they have all the qualities to prove themselves in the industries. In the present scenario, we are more focusing on the Industry-Institute relationships.

The Cell caters to the industry–institute interactions and as a routine arranges industrial training for all the final year students in reputed organizations. Guest Lectures, Seminars, Symposiums, Workshops etc. by subject experts of reputed institutions, employers of reputed firms, organizations are arranged to instill employability skills and enhance the awareness of the potential job opportunities. These are arranged within the campus in a systematic manner throughout the term. The cell also organizes entrepreneurial awareness camps to encourage the students to become entrepreneurs.

Objectives of Cell

 To Assist students develop/clarify their academic and career interests, and their short and long-term goals through individual counseling and group sessions
 To Assist students develop and implement successful job search strategies.
 To Work with faculty members, department Heads and administration to integrate career planning and academic curriculum as well as coordinate Project Work/ Summer Training/internship programs.
 To assist students for industrial training at the end of each semester.
 To assist employers to achieve their hiring goals.
 To serve the community by providing access to our campus wide activities & career resources.
 To empower students with life-long career decision-making skills.
 To provide resources and activities to facilitate the career planning process.
 To Act as a link between students, alumni and the employment community.
 Up gradation of the students communication skills and personality development by inviting experts from outside for seminars/classes.
 To assist our students in obtaining final placement in reputed companies.
