Duration of the Course:

I. Same as Lateral Entry to Second Year with a total course duration NOT less than TWO years, so as to fulfill the total contact hours as prescribed by the Department of Technical Education for completion of duration of the course.

II. Timings for conduct of classes normally shall be in the evening hours/any flexible convenient timings(including weekends/holidays) in alignment with timings of lndustry / Organization.

III. Mode of Conduct of Classes shall be as applicable for Regular Programs as defined in the AICTE Public Notice Vide. No. AICTE/AB/Academic/2020-21, dated 13th August,2020.

Diploma for Working Professional
(LATERAL ENTRY)

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has announced Engineering Diploma programs for working professionals

As per the Provisions of the Public Notice issued by AICTE vide No. AICTE/RB/Academic/2023-24 dated 24th July, 2023, GIT (Gregorian Institute of Technology - Kangazha, Kottayam) is approved to conduct WORKING PROFESSIONALS ENGINEERING DIPLOMA Courses.

This is aimed at assisting working professionals to complete/ continue their education. It provides students an opportunity to access higher education while they try to make a living as working professionals.
